fringe binge

Fringe has been around but it is definitely a huge trend this upcoming summer, and I am obsessed, as you can probably tell by this outfit. I just ordered those fringe sandals and I love them; the way the fringe sways when I walk just gives my feet a little bit of joy. Fringe adds a nice fluff and volume to your walk! This outfit gives off a boho vibe and since it is festival season, why not? The weather is seriously bipolar so my cardigan is perfect, it's breathable enough for the day and warm enough for the night when the degrees start to drop. This cardigan was gifted to me by my best friend when she went abroad!  My bag also has fringed tassles, I might have went a bit extreme with the fringe. Fringe Binge.

comfy casual

The iPhone weather app said today's high would be 90 degrees, I couldn't believe my eyes. I think nature decided to skip spring and jump right into summer.  One thing I did not miss about warmer weather in New York City is the humidity, and today's air was filled with it. The only event on my agenda today was work so I decided to keep it comfy and casual.  I've been on the hunt for the perfect t-shirt dress since last summer and I finally got my hands on one. Brandy Melville had a selection last summer, but I always told myself I would buy it next time, and a few 'next times' later, they no longer sold the ones I wanted. Lucky me, the last time I stopped by Brandy they had these in stock! First I saw a red striped one, but then I saw this one, and obviously chose the black. I want more! The material of the dress is so soft and comfortable; it's so easy to just throw on and call it a day.

Lesson learned from this blog post, if you like something and can't decide if you should buy it or not, just buy it.

Nice weather means bad allergies. I am currently dying from my allergies; love spring, but hate what it brings.  The best way to start your day is with some boozy brunch! I recommend trying Mezetto on the corner of Allen St. and Houston St., but make reservations beforehand! The place is ridiculously tiny, as are most places in the city.  I had the pork belly eggs benedict (eggs benedict.. obviously) and it was different but delicious! Shopped around Soho for a bit because I wanted to make a quick stop at Brandy Melville; got two cute bralettes and a t-shirt dress!  Drove to Kips Bay, paid $25 parking all for Avengers. I loved it. I loved the first one, and I loved the second one. Especially HULK! He's my favorite superhero ever.  Now I have to wait another two years until the next one comes out. For dinner, we ate at Chote Nawab. The naan was delicious when dipped into the chicken tikka masala that I ordered, but the tikka masala was just okay.  I prefer the one from Agra Indian Restaurant in Bayside.
My outfit follows the usual monochromatic palette. I cannot wait until it gets warm enough to wear shorts with tights and outfits without cardigans or cover-ups.
